Claudia kept her mouth closed for a moment, trying to choose her words carefully. “Not too much. Just more than anyone has ever given me, I guess,” she finally answered. Leena’s love was grand, and Claudia wasn’t sure she deserved it, or that she could return it so selflessly. She wanted to, though.

She turned Leena’s chin up with her forefinger. “This is already the best present I’ve ever gotten, and so far it’s only on paper. We’re gonna have a great time today.”

Leena grinned and nodded, pulling her girlfriend into another kiss. “We are,” she hummed as she pulled away and lay back against the bed. “We have twenty minutes before we need to get ready though,” she smiled, looking down at her breasts and brushing her nipple with her thumb.

Claudia was floored. The day’s itinerary was completely extravagant, and she found herself wondering how much it must have cost. Surely Leena must have spend hundreds of dollars to arrange all this, and for some reason this made Claudia feel nervous and just a touch guilty. But elation battled her apprehension. Recording her own EP? It was something she had dreamed of. She reached over to hug Leena, careful not to disturb her tray. 

“This is… wow. I mean, I don’t even know what to… say. Thank you.”

Leena returned the hug with a wide grin, but lost it quickly when she pulled back and saw Claudia’s aura. “It’s too much, isn’t it?” She said, head bowed and hands in her lap.

“It’ll be a great day,” Claudia said brightly. Breakfast always made her more enthusiastic, as did Leena’s bare chest. “So c’mon, tell me, what are we doing today? If you don’t answer I’ll just have to make my own plans.” She grinned and ran her eyes over her girlfriend’s body. “And you can probably guess what those will entail.”

Leena smiled almost shyly and handed a piece of paper in an envelope that looked more like a menu than an itinerary. She watched Claudia open it and pressed her lips to her girlfriend’s neck with a smile.

Claudia groaned with more drama that was probably necessary. “I’m pretty sure that if it’s my birthday, I should get to sleep as late as I want. And you should be next to me wearing a lot less than you are.” She rolled over and sat up a little, noticing the tray of food. Her face brightened. 

“You,” she began, reaching out for the tray, “are the most considerate girlfriend ever.” She moved the tray over her lap and nodded for Leena to sit beside her. 

“So, do you have secret birthday plans for me?” the agent inquired, her mouth full of egg.

Leena smiled, pulling off her top just for the hell of it. She pressed her lips to Claudia’s shoulder and shrugged with a coy smile. “Maybe,” she mumbled softly against her lover’s skin. 

“I just want you to have the best day.”
